Clinton Zhang joined the HKRep in 2024. Awarded Best Supporting Actor (Tragedy/Drama) at the 31st Hong Kong Drama Awards for his performance in The Impossible Trial – a musical in 2023, he was nominated in the same category the following year for his performance in The Spoon.
 
In 2018, Zhang graduated with honours from the School of Drama, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in acting. While at the HKAPA, he took part in the musical Pippin, Descendants of the Eunuch Admiral, Rashomon and Macbeth as well as musical showcases of Children of Eden (first act) and Rent. His performances in Noises Off, The Threepenny Opera and What the Butler Saw won him three Outstanding Actor awards. He was a recipient of the HKSAR Government Scholarship and APEC Scholarship. He also travelled on an HKAPA exchange programme to the Mozarteum in Salzburg.  
 
Zhang’s recent stage appearances included The Impossible Triala musical (commissioned by WestK, co-presented and co-produced by WestK and Hong Kong Repertory Theatre), HKRep’s The Spoon and The Top Restaurant, Chung Ying Theatre’s The Miracles of the Namiya General Store, Confucius 63 Revisited (Foshan and Macao tour) and Twelfth Night, Alice Theatre Laboratory’s “Reading Postdramatic Theatre” presentation of Das Prinzip Meese and Schwarze Jungfrauen and Theatre Space’s The Invisible X.
