Chow Chi Fai graduated from the
Chinese Department, Hong Kong Baptist University in 1979.
He joined the HKRep as part-time actor at the same year and
became a full time actor in 1981.
Chow played in over 200 productions,
including Seventy-two Tenants, Confucius, Jesus
Christ and John Lennon of the Beatles, Antigone, The Government
Inspector, Absurd Person Singular, I Have A Date With Spring,
Small Ripples In A Dead Pool, Crucible, Tales Of The Walled
City, Desire Under The Elm, When I Was Deserted, Uncle Vanya,
Secret Of Resurrection, A Dream Like A Dream, Forever &
Ever, Rape Virus, The Eccentricities Of A Nightingale, Departure

Zheleznova, Zheng He and The Emperor, Proof, , (Rep 2 Series)

Chow was nominated the Best Supporting
Actor (Tragedy/Drama, and Comedy/Farce respectively) at the
3rd Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societiesˇ¦ Hong Kong Drama
Awards for his work of Master Kiang in The Legend of the
Mad Phoenix, and Andrew Jorgenson in Other People's
Money in 1994. He was nominated Best Actor (Tragedy/Drama)
for his work of Qu Yuan in The Story of Qu Yuan and
for Ching-wa in Before the Rain Stops in the 7th
Hong Kong Drama Awards in 1998. He won the award for The
Story of Qu Yuan and for The Legend of the Mad Phoenix.
In 2004 he was awarded Nomination award (Best Actor) for his
work of Uncle Fu in Sweet and Sour Hong Kong at the
15th Shanghai Magnolia Stage Award and he was nominated Best
Supporting Actor(Comedy/Farce) for his work of Lady Bracknell
in The Importance of Being Earnest in 2005. At 15
th HK Drama Awards In 2006,he was nominated Best Supporting
Actor(Tragedy / Drama) for his work of Robert in Proof.
Chow directed the school touring
productions Checkpoint and Sunset Sparks.
He also played in over 20 movies and appeared frequently in
the Radio Television Hong Kong Education Television programs.
An experienced voice-dubbing artist, Chow's credits include
The Archdeacon in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Buzz
Lightyear in the Buzz Lightyear movie and cartoon
series, the designated HK Cantonese dubbing artist of Captain
Hook in Peter Pan. Other dubbing credits include
Pocahontas, Mulan and Disney on Ice.
