Rosa Maria Velasco graduated from the Academy's School of Drama in 2006 with a first-class Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree, majoring in Acting. During her programme of study, she has performed in various productions such as My Fatherˇ¦s Sword, Trojan Women, The Childrenˇ¦s Hour, Vision Party, Romeo and Juliet, Look Look, Summer and Smoke and Medea. She was awarded the Outstanding Actress Award with her performance in Trojan Women and various scholarships including The Society of HKAPA Scholarship, Ben and Benson Company Limited Scholarship, Colin George Prize, Lam Lap-Sam Scholarship, Fredric Mao Scholarship, The Hongkong Bank Foundation Hong Kong Mainland Exchange Scholarship, ExxonMobil Scholarship and Dean of Drama Scholarship. She was also nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 15th Hong Kong Drama Awards in 2006 for her performance in Trojan Women. Other performances include Tian Gong Kai Wu: A Practical Guide to Imaginary Inventions (Hong Kong Arts Festival), Missing Sight (The Chinese Drama Festival), Hamlet (International Arts Carnival).
