Wang Wei is a National Second Class actor. He joined the Guangdong Provincial Theatre as lead actor upon graduating the Drama Class of Guangdong Academy for Cantonese Opera in 1995 and played in several theatre productions as well as drama series. He was employed as bilingual (Putonghua and Cantonese) actor during internship in 1998.

Wang's acting credits include Now You See It; Now You Don't, Small Ripples in a Dead Pool, Let Me Love Once, Crossings, An Absolute Turkey, Hong Kong for Sure!, Secret of Resurrection, A Matter of 4x6, A Dream Like a Dream, Love In a Fallen City, Tomorrow Is Another Day, The Eccentricities of a Nightingale, Departure 00:00, A Small Family Business, Peach Blossom Fan and Rotate 270¢X. In 2005, he also took part in the director, playwright and performance for (Rep 2 Series) Do You Still Remember

Leading roles in the productions of De Ling and Empress Dowager Ci Xi, The Naked Eyes, A Midsummer Night's Dream, We Are One Family, Valley of Gold, www.com, Haunted, Haunted Little Star, Sweet & Sour Hong Kong, Cabaret and Whose Life Is It Anyway? and Peter Pan.

Wang was nominated the Best Supporting Actor (Tragedy / Drama) at the 13th HK Drama Awards in 2004 for his work of Xian Wei in Haunted, Haunted Little Star and he was nominated the Best Supporting Actor (Tragedy / Drama) at 14th HK Drama Awards in 2005 for Rotate 270¢X.
