A National Second Class actor, Wang Wei has been cast numerous times as the leading man since joining the HKREP in 1998. Whether as the ¡§pretty boy¡¨ in Haunted Haunted Little Star, Captain Hook in Peter Pan, the weather reporter in Moon Over Buffalo, or the corrupt officer in Boundless Movement, Wang is a master in creating diverse character roles. His performances in the musicals Sweet & Sour Hong Kong and Field of Dreams are also testaments to his singing and dancing talent.

Wang was nominated Best Supporting Actor (Comedy/Farce) at the Hong Kong Drama Awards in 2004 for his performance in Haunted Haunted Little Star. The following year, he was nominated Best Supporting Actor (Tragedy/Drama) for Rotate 270¢X. In 2009, he was awarded Best Supporting Actor (Comedy/Farce) for his role in Moon Over Buffalo.

In addition to writing theatre reviews for print and online media, Wang has also been involved as director, playwright and actor in Do You Still Remember (part of the HKREP 2 series). He also directed the original drama Childhood (outside the HKREP), both of these productions have received much critical acclaim.

Wang is a Mandarin instructor and a voice-over artist, recording and instructing in such organizations as Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park. He was also invited by Oxford University Press and the Longman Company to record Mandarin and Cantonese, part of Chinese-language teaching materials intended for primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong.
