"Now, we're all sons of bitches."
Dr. Kenneth T. Bainbridge, Director of the first Los Alamos atomic bomb test
In 1941, Walter Heisenberg, famed physicist for his ¡§Uncertain Principle¡¨ and mastermind of the German nuclear programme, travelled to Copenhagen to visit his former professor and employer Niels Bohr. Bohr was half-Jewish living in then-occupied Denmark. What¡¦s the reason for Heisenberg¡¦s visit? What did they discuss that brought friction between the two? Just like an atomic particle, human sensitivity is unpredictable.
